Pain in the butt

Well, not in the butt, but close by. I have chronic pain in my hip area and 2 years of pain in my left knee area. It wakes me up at night. I can't take anti-inflammatories because of liver issues. I pulled my hamstring in my knee area 2 years ago at work. I went to chiropractor, massage therapist, and physio therapy. The pain came and went. Finally my doctor told me to stop doing all of the above and let it rest. Which I did. Some success but now it is back. My leg aches so much I want to cry at times. It wakes me up. Do I have cancer? Well, I reason, if I did I would be dead because it has been 2 years. Is it arthritis? Knee joint? I don't know - my doctor pokes the area and then peels me off of the ceiling. Yep, he says -- hamstring. Heat helps a bit, but exercise does not.

What I want is a medical person who can direct me to somewhere that will scan my knee so I know for sure. But -- try to get on that list! It's a mile long!

And my hips! Ha! It's not the bone - but if I walk too far they scream in pain. Walking helps my hips in the long run, but then the ham string kicks in.

Aye yi yi!

It bothers me that I am not high enough on anyone's list to get help. So I gimp around - and THAT is a pain in the butt!
