Been there, done that with all of the medications

At age 50, I find I am about as mobile as my great grandmother was at 90. The chronic pain is so intense that I become more and more sedentary every day. I have tried all of the recommendations for medicines including THC and CBD. Nothing has worked in the long term. I have also found that when medication does work, it is accompanied by such s feeling of being medicated that it actually makes me more sedentary than without it. I feel like I am dazed and not at all involved with life.

Before the pandemic, I had discovered a chronic pain aquafit group specifically designed to aid those with chronic pain issues. The water is much warmer and the pool is fairly shallow throughout making it wonderful fir people with mobility and other physical limitations. I started attending this class twice per week starting the beginning of January of this year. By mid February I found I was more agile and flexible as well as having much more manageable pain levels. By mid March I was hoping to up my attendance to this class to 3 times per week as the difference in my quality of life was amazing!

Then came the pandemic and closures of all city run pools including the one I attended. In the 11 weeks since then I have declined even further than before this January as even walking the shopping malls ( my other main physical activity ) was no longer an option.

I sincerely hope that this special pool that deals specifically with a variety of people with limitations will be slowed to reopen soon and of course safely
